A Special Surprise Story Phonemic Awareness Activities

A Celebration!

Your child has now met all the letters of the alphabet! Celebrate this great achievement by having an alphabet party using foods shaped like letters. For instance, you can cut apples in thin slices and shape them to make a's. You can cut strips and circles from bananas to make b's and shape carrots into c's by cutting a quarter of a carrot circle away. M and Ms will make your child say "mmm!" And circle shaped cookies can be decorated with icing to look like Otto O's. Say "ah, oh, ew!" as you bite away at him. Have fun!
